Triptych was composed around three foundational materials: virgin beeswax, lanolin, and emu oil.

Each contributes something distinct to the architecture of the balm itself. Virgin beeswax provides structure and a breathable protective layer that remains flexible rather than stiff or overly wax-heavy. Lanolin gives the composition its dense, velvety depth — helping the balm remain present while softening rough, depleted lips over time. Emu oil contributes a uniquely soft, penetrating quality that helps the composition settle more comfortably into areas of dryness and environmental stress.

Together, the three form the core identity of the balm: resilient, protective, and deeply conditioning without becoming excessively glossy or occlusive.

Shea and mango butters soften the density of the composition and contribute lasting suppleness and glide, while coconut, castor, and sweet almond oils help the balm spread evenly across the lips while maintaining comfortable presence through repeated wear.

Red raspberry seed oil rounds out the formula with antioxidant richness and support for lips shaped by weather, movement, sun, dry air, and repeated contact with the world. Vitamin E supports the stability and longevity of the blend itself.

Why is the balm called Triptych?

A triptych is traditionally a work composed in three connected parts. In this balm, the name refers to the relationship between its three foundational materials — virgin beeswax, lanolin, and emu oil — each contributing its own structure, depth, and restorative character to the composition as a whole.

What makes Triptych different from a typical lip balm?

Why combine beeswax, lanolin, and emu oil?

Does Triptych feel heavier than an everyday balm?
