BARE NAKED is a fully plant-based Candelilla Wax Lip Balm composed from seven butters, oils, and waxes for everyday softness and comfort.

Cupuaçu and shea care for the lips, candelilla gives the balm its lasting shape, and a small group of oils guides its smooth, even movement.

For the Skin

Cupuaçu butter forms the moisture-retentive center of Bare Naked. Its ability to take up and hold moisture gives the lips supple, cushioned softness.

Shea butter adds velvety richness and lasting conditioning. Red raspberry seed oil brings lighter care through its linoleic and alpha-linolenic acids, balancing the butters while helping the lips feel soft and flexible.

Within the Composition

Candelilla wax gives Bare Naked its plant-based framework. It holds the butters and oils together, lends the balm a precise shape, and leaves a fine protective layer on the lips. Its smooth character helps that structure feel light and comfortable through daily wear.

Natural vitamin E tocopherols help preserve the freshness and integrity of the botanical butters and oils over time.

On the Skin

Jojoba oil, composed largely of wax esters, helps the balm spread in a fine, even layer. Castor oil adds a gentle cushion and enough grip to keep that movement controlled and the softness present.

Together, these seven materials create a lip balm that is simple in its palette, generous in its care, and smooth and lasting in its presence on the lips.

In the twist-up tube, apply Bare Naked directly to clean lips. In the companion tin, the butter is very firm. Make a small dent with a fingertip and work that spot briefly; it softens into a smooth butter that is easy to gather and spread over the lips. A little goes a long way.

On contact, it settles into a comfortable layer without heaviness or shine. A light application suits daily use when lips feel dry or weathered. Reapply as needed, or use a little more before bed for longer-lasting overnight conditioning.

They share a name and a purpose, but they are separate compositions. This one is made entirely from plant-derived materials and builds its structure around candelilla wax. The Beeswax Butter is built around virgin beeswax from our hives and has its own balance of butters and oils.

Candelilla wax comes from the candelilla shrub. It gives this butter its firm shape and helps leave a fine, comfortable layer on the lips. Its role is more than replacing beeswax - the whole composition is balanced around it.
