NIPPLE | Beeswax Butter for Tender Skin

NIPPLE brings together seven natural, biocompatible materials, each chosen for tender, highly responsive skin and the distinct work it performs within the composition.

Each material cares for the nipple, structures the butter, and shapes how it responds to warmth, movement, and touch.

For the Skin

Cupuaçu butter forms the moisture-retentive center of Nipple. Often used as a botanical alternative to lanolin, it can perform some of the same moisture-binding and emollient work while remaining entirely plant-derived. For people who prefer or need to avoid lanolin, cupuaçu preserves the deep suppleness and generous cushion for which lanolin is often valued.

Our studio-made calendula-infused sunflower oil combines calendula’s long tradition of use on tender, stressed skin with high-linoleic sunflower oil. Together, they provide focused botanical care for skin that can be exposed to repeated touch and friction.

Naturally rich in linoleic and alpha-linolenic acids, blueberry seed oil brings lighter conditioning to the composition. It supports suppleness while balancing the denser cupuaçu, kokum, and beeswax.

Within the Composition

Kokum butter gives Nipple a refined, stable body that softens gradually with body heat rather than losing its shape at first contact. Virgin beeswax adds protection, cohesion, and a gentle persistence that helps limit moisture loss.

Together, kokum and beeswax create the butter’s subtle grip - a small, purposeful resistance that allows it to remain present beneath the fingers before opening with warmth and touch.

Natural vitamin E tocopherols help protect the freshness and integrity of the oils and butters over time while contributing additional conditioning to the finished composition.

On the Skin

Jojoba oil, composed largely of wax esters, allows the richer materials to move in a fine, even layer. It gives Nipple a controlled glide that conditions without leaving tender skin with a dense or excessively oily finish.

Nipple is made with the understanding that care and pleasure are not opposing purposes. Its gentle structure invites unhurried touch, moving gradually from subtle grip into a smooth, cushioned glide as the butter warms against the body.

Together, these seven materials create a butter that is deeply moisture-retentive, protective without heaviness, responsive to touch, and defined by its deliberate movement from gentle grip into silky glide.

Nipple holds its shape in the tin and does not melt readily as it is gathered. A small amount collects neatly on the tip of a finger. Applied directly to the nipple, it has a gentle grip that gives the fingers something to work with. As it warms, that grip opens into a smooth, slightly slick glide. The movement feels good in its own right - a moment of touch as well as care.

For all its richness, the butter settles without a greasy or messy finish, remaining comfortable beneath clothing. It can be used at any time, for everyday comfort or more deliberate aftercare. It also works well on the lips.

Cupuaçu gives the butter a subtle chocolate-like aroma that stays close to the skin.

What do you mean by “seven clean, biocompatible ingredients”?

It’s a deliberately small composition - just seven materials, each chosen for how it behaves on thin, highly responsive skin - like the nipple.

By clean, we mean a composition built without water, synthetics, or medicated additives - using only simple, natural materials that are well understood and appropriate for frequent use on sensitive skin.

Many of these ingredients are also used in food or food-adjacent contexts, which makes them a comfortable choice for areas that come into close contact with the body.

By biocompatible, we mean that these materials share a natural affinity with the skin. The butters and oils are composed of lipids similar to those found in the skin barrier, allowing them to soften, support, and remain present without feeling foreign or disruptive.

Rather than coating the surface or forcing change, they integrate easily and support the skin’s ability to remain balanced over time.

Does this include lanolin?

No. Lanolin is a traditional and widely used ingredient in nipple care, and many people use it successfully.

That said, it doesn’t work for everyone. Some people find it can feel quite heavy, or that their skin becomes sensitive to it with repeated use—especially on thin, highly responsive areas.

For this reason, we chose a different direction. This formula is centered on cupuaçu butter, a botanical lipid that provides deep hydration while remaining breathable and comfortable on the skin.

It’s simply a different approach - lighter in feel, easier to return to, and well suited for everyday use across both nipples and lips.

Does it help with friction from movement or activity?

Yes. It’s especially useful in situations where skin is under repeated movement - training, running, or daily wear.

The texture allows it to glide, then remain lightly present, helping reduce friction without feeling heavy or greasy.

Can this be used for comfort or pleasure?

Yes. Because the composition is simple, body-compatible, and responsive to warmth and touch, many people use it in this way as well. It softens, reduces friction, and allows for more comfortable contact.

Why not use a medicated nipple product instead?

Medicated products can be helpful when treating a specific condition.

This composition is different. It’s designed for ongoing, everyday care - supporting the skin’s natural function with all-natural, non-medicated materials that can be used regularly without complication.

Can I use this on my lips too?

Yes - and it's fantastic!  Lips and nipples share similar characteristics - thin, highly responsive, and easily affected by dryness and exposure. Many people use this product for both.
