Protection for lips that brave the elements.

Cold, thin air strips moisture from the lips, leaving skin tight, cracked, and exposed to the environment.

Winterblend is composed for these conditions — a dense, protective lip balm built from lanolin, virgin beeswax, rich botanical butters, and aromatic rosemary + mint. Designed to remain present through cold weather, movement, and repeated exposure, it softens with warmth while helping shield the lips from winter’s drying edge.

Tested in the field, Winterblend applies beautifully even after 24 hours at freezing temperatures.

Using Winterblend

Apply directly to clean lips before exposure to cold air, wind, dry environments, or extended time outdoors.

Winterblend was designed to remain present through movement, weather, and repeated exposure — softening gradually with warmth while maintaining a dense, protective layer on the lips. In especially cold conditions, allow the balm a moment to warm slightly against the skin before pressing the lips together to distribute the composition evenly.

Reapply throughout the day as needed during skiing, hiking, winter walks, travel, outdoor work, or any environment where the lips are repeatedly exposed to cold, dry air.

The rosemary and peppermint open cool and bright on application before settling into the background as the balm remains present on the lips.

The Composition

Winterblend was composed specifically for cold weather and environmental exposure — a denser, more resilient expression of our signature lip balm architecture built for wind, dry air, altitude, and winter conditions.

At the center of the formula is a rich pairing of virgin beeswax and lanolin. Together they create a breathable, flexible layer that helps reduce moisture loss while remaining comfortable and adaptive on the lips rather than stiff or overly waxy. Lanolin gives the balm its lasting depth and winter resilience, while beeswax provides structure and composure across changing temperatures.

Cupuaçu and murumuru butters soften the density of the composition and help maintain flexibility in cold conditions. Cupuaçu contributes lasting hydration and elasticity, while murumuru refines the glide and movement of the balm across the lips.

Jojoba and castor oils help the balm spread evenly while maintaining lasting presence during repeated outdoor exposure. Red raspberry seed oil contributes antioxidant richness and a smooth, protective finish, while vitamin E supports the overall stability of the blend itself.

Rosemary and peppermint essential oils complete the composition with a cool, bright aromatic opening that feels clean, clarifying, and distinctly alpine in character.

The result is a winter lip balm built to remain present where lighter balms disappear — protective, breathable, resilient, and deeply comforting in cold weather.

Questions Worth Asking

What makes Winterblend different from the Signature Lip Balm?

Winterblend was composed specifically for colder, harsher environments where the lips experience repeated exposure to wind, dry air, freezing temperatures, and environmental stress. The formula is denser, more lanolin-forward, and intentionally designed to remain present longer under winter conditions.

Why use lanolin in a winter lip balm?

Lanolin has a uniquely protective and adaptive quality that makes it especially effective in cold weather. It helps reduce moisture loss while remaining flexible and comfortable on the lips, even in dry air and lower temperatures.

Does Winterblend feel heavier than a typical lip balm?

Slightly — intentionally so. Winterblend was designed to maintain lasting presence and protection during outdoor exposure and winter conditions where lighter balms may disappear too quickly. Despite its richer feel, the formula was balanced to remain breathable and comfortable rather than stiff or excessively waxy.

Why rosemary and peppermint?

The aromatic composition was chosen to feel cool, bright, and clarifying without becoming overpowering. Peppermint briefly lifts the density of the balm on application, while rosemary contributes a cleaner, more grounded herbal character that settles close to the body.

Was Winterblend actually tested outdoors?

Yes. Winterblend was field-tested in winter conditions at Breckenridge to ensure the balm remained stable, spreadable, and comfortable during real outdoor use rather than controlled indoor conditions alone.

Can Winterblend only be used in winter?

Not at all. While Winterblend was composed specifically for cold weather, dry air, and environmental exposure, many people prefer it year-round — especially in windy climates, dry indoor environments, high altitudes, or whenever the lips need deeper, longer-lasting protection than a lighter balm provides.

The denser lanolin and beeswax structure simply makes it especially well-suited to winter conditions, where thinner formulas often disappear too quickly.
